Here we are pleased to offer the Passion Ultimate Pre Amp from Audio Synthesis which comes with REMOTE and PSU. The unit is is good cosmetic and working condition as can be seen from the photographs. This came to us with the Audio Synthesis DECADE Power Amp which will also be listed.

Passive Remote Controlled Stepped Attenuator
For more than 10 years Audio Synthesis has been responsible for the design and manufacture of the world’s highest quality passive preamps and stepped attenuators. In our experience the actual performance of one of the PASSION series is a revelation and no matter what its topology, simplicity, or cost we have yet to hear any active preamp - solid state or valve – which can approach the being-there conviction and sense of live performance that the PASSION routinely conveys.
For our latest PASSION the design criteria was to go one step further in terms of transparency, resolution and versatility, to create the state-of-the-art in remote control passive attenuators - irrespective of cost. No simple task! But we are very proud to say that PASSION Ultimate achieves these goals by leapfrogging the performance of all previous models both in terms of total clarity and in its user remote interface.
We have also increased the number of steps on the stereo attenuators (to date the maximum number of steps in any single attenuator was 35). Remote attenuators in PASSION Ultimate have 60 steps, each with a resolution of 1.0dB, plus a left to right balance selectable deviation of up to 30dB.
Defining Ultimate
The Passion Ultimate is an all aluminium enclosed passive preamp with separate power supply and machined remote handset. Finish is black brushed and anodised with mirror polished front panel and sub-surface lettering.
Identical to Baby Passion – 3 line level inputs plus a hardwired direct input that bypasses the input selector (and which may be alternatively used as a tape output feed for recording purposes).
Inputs and outputs are made with pcb mounted WBT connectors to eliminate any internal wiring from the minimalist signal path and all facilities are remote controlled. These include: Standby, Mute, Attenuation, Input selection, Balance control, Display brightness and Input Naming.
Power supply is required for the internal control logic, front panel display, and remote control facilities. The audio path is entirely passive with Vishay Bulk-Foil Precision Resistors giving an input impedance in the order of 10kohms.
All PASSION Ultimates are shipped complete with remote control handset, machined from solid aluminium and with selectable modes to control not only the PASSION Ultimate but also the TRANSCEND and DAX Decades.
